For as long as I can remember I have always been interested in some shape and form in the Construction industry. There is something about the industry with using the traditional methods and a specific process that excites me.
I have learnt over time that Construction and design are subjective, and not everyone is going to like the way that something is done or showcased. Not only is the Construction industry really raw but it allows people to push those perceived boundaries. If you have thought about it then someone would have already designed it, you just have to find it.
When designing and selecting a space, I love getting a source of inspiration. Inspiration can come from anything, it is how we use those inspirational images into a space seamlessly. Whether it is something I have seen on Instagram or a mental image of something that caught my eye when in transit.
I enjoy making the link between inspiration and Construction.
Even though every idea that I generate and pitch to my clients, may not succeed and I know that I need to have the bigger picture in-mind.
Essentially the ideas are all generated from a vision, a piece of inspiration and then a the designer is able to incorporate idea into a design.
Its amazing really.
